St. Raymond’s Cemetery requires anyone purchasing a plot or wanting to bury a loved one within our cemetery grounds to provide proof of being of Catholic faith for each. Acceptable documents for proof would include; Certificate of Baptism, Certificate of Communion or Confirmation, Certificate of Marriage in a Catholic Church, or a letter from your Parish Priest stating you/were a parishioner. If a mass is not scheduled at the time of burial, one of the above is required for interment and purchase of location.
Ownership remains with the Church of St. Raymond’s and St. Raymond’s Cemetery: my right is to use the burial plot for burials only, as explained in the Certificate of Burial Privilege. The purchase price does not include interment fee, which must be paid at the time services. No Duplicate certificates will be issued at any time for any reason. PAYMENTSAll Niches are subject to payment in full at time of sale. All Crypts can be paid in full or placed on a payment plan with a 3yr term. A Crypt MUST be paid in full prior to any entombment. A 20% minimum of the purchase price is required as down payment at time of contract for Crypt purchases. Payments will be scheduled on a monthly basis.
PAYMENT METHODSWe accept: Bank Checks, Credit or Debit Transactions with Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover Card. Not Accepted: Money Orders, Personal Checks or CASH
MEMORIALSFlowers or pictures of any kind are NOT permitted in any of the indoor community mausoleum facilities (this includes the exterior walls of the buildings).
ENTOMBMENTSFull purchase price of any Crypt or Niche entitles owner to be entombed without additional cost. Cost for opening each space is included in the purchase price at time of sale.
INSCRIPTIONSInscription of each name on the slab is also included in the purchase price at time of sale. No additional fees are required at time of use.
SURRENDERShould the family elect to surrender the crypt back to the cemetery, a full refund of the price originally paid less a processing will be given. The Crypt or Niche must be empty at the time of surrender. This can only be initated by the original Deed Owner or legal Spouse, providing the Deed Owner is deceased and proof submitted. Proper documentation must accompany all requests.
DISINTERMENTIf the crypt or niche has been used and a love one is occuping a space, a cost for disinterring that loved one and refacing the slab will be required prior to any disintombment. The cost for disinterring and refacing of the slab are subject to change yearly. A court order is required for any removal to take place. Courts orders are to be obtain by the Bronx County Court House.
