Headstones Regulations
Please be advised that as a means of confidentiality, St. Raymond’s Cemetery does not provide information to any outside source. The Cemetery has no affiliation with any Monument Dealers. Once you have chosen a monument company to design or inscribe your headstone, the monument company must submit an application with a sketch and permit fee to the office prior to commencing work. This is to ensure they adhere to the proper regulations for each section.
Below are two examples of the regulations for the most visited sections. Please refer to the back of your deed for the specific regulations pertaining to the section of your gravesite. If you have any further questions, kindly contact our office.
- Stonework specifications are as follows:
- Every headstone must bear a Cross on the face.
- Range and Grave numbers shall be sandblasted on the front lower right side, indicated by R-00 G-000 .
- The finish on the stone varies (Reference to Deed According to Section/Location).
- No carvings or designs shall protrude from the Stone
- No painting or lithocrome color to be added to the sandblasting
- No footstones, corner posts, vases, pictures, statues, or personal carvings shall be permitted.
Upright Monument RegulationsThe finish on the face can be Polished or Steeled. Balance to be Rock Pitched with a Serpentine top.Every headstone must bear a Cross on the face. Range and Grave numbers shall be sandblasted on the front lower right side.No carvings or designs shall protrude from the stone. No painting or litocrome color to be added to the sandblasting. No footstones, corner posts, vases, pictures, statues, or personal carvings shall be permitted.
